An animated piece developed in collaboration with SmithMatthias to accompany the launch of their Curve Lounge. Created for the Proof of Concept: Mould exhibition at The Aram Gallery, the work demonstates the process behind forming one of the chair’s key plywood components.

The animation focuses on the careful sequence of moulding, pressing, and shaping that gives the piece its distinctive curvature. Isolating this stage of production brings attention to the precision and craft embedded within what often appears as a seamless final object.

Presented alongside the chair within the exhibition, the piece offers a quiet visual study of material transformation, revealing the layered construction and controlled pressure that underpin the form of the Curve Lounge while reflecting the broader theme of moulding across contemporary design.
